Bonsall, California is a beautiful community in the North County of San Diego, presenting a country lifestyle 12 miles from the Pacific Ocean with homes at affordable prices. You can also purchase luxury homes with large acreage, equestrian facilities and riding trails. My first visit to Bonsall was back in 1979 when it was a fairly unknown small community. There were a lot of avocado groves, citrus orchards and a place for people with horses. Others felt that the San Luis Rey Downs training center was a great place to train horses because it’s serene and quite location, it was especially popular before the opening of the Del Mar racing season. The community of Bonsall is still a serene and quite location. However, it has grown considerably in the last ten years, Bonsall now have some pretty amazing luxury subdivisions, five of them being gated. These subdivisions are; Aguacate Ranch, Chateau Belle Vue, Hialeah Estate, Lake Vista Estates, San Luis Rey Groves, Saratoga Estates, Sweetgrass Estates and Toscana. Hialeah Estate and Saratoga Estates have been there since a long time, and Saratoga Estates has its own riding trails but there’s only half of the subdivision that’s allowed to keep horses on their property. The gated subdivisions are; Aguacate Ranch, Chateau Belle Vue, Lake Vista Estates, San Luis Rey Groves, Saratoga Estates and Sweetgrass Estate.
